    Patterson Elementary's Food Drive a Success

    student screening donated foodPatterson Elementary’s student-run Community Service Team started 2022 off with a “Feed Those in Need” food drive.

    Contributions were collected, screened for expiration, and then donated to Abode Services, whose mission is to end homelessness.

    The Patterson Elementary Community Service Team includes 12 student volunteers in grades 4th-6th grade who apply to join the Team. Two teacher advisers, Mrs. Tam and Mrs. Meyer, support their work. The Team usually meets biweekly after school, and volunteer on Team projects during their recesses as needed.
