1/8 Distribution Added: At-Home COVID-19 Testing Before Returning from Break ' Pruebas de COVID-19 a domicilio antes de regresar de vacaciones ' 返校之前在家做 新冠病毒 (COVID-19) 檢測
Posted 1/7/22

Thank you to everyone who participated in our distribution of at-home COVID-19 test kits this week.

We distributed over 25,000 kits to students and staff, and still have a limited supply remaining for students/staff who have not yet picked up their voluntary testing kits. It is important to stress that remaining supplies are only available for the staff and students that have not yet been able to pick up a test kit.

In response to requests for non-weekday distribution, and to remain mindful of the intention of these tests to screen students and staff before we return from winter break, we are hosting final distribution events on Saturday, January 8 from 10am to 2pm, while supplies last.

STUDENT/STAFF ID IS REQUIRED FOR EACH TEST. Please be prepared to show either a current FUSD ID card, or electronic verification through Infinite Campus for students or Frontline for staff. Individuals unprepared to show ID will be asked to leave the line and return with identification.

Please visit one of the locations listed below to pick up a test kit for any FUSD student/staff member that has not already received a test:

We kindly request that you not enter the distribution location prior to 10am. If you are not able to arrive in a vehicle, we will have a walk-up location available. Please be mindful of neighbors, driveways, and other traffic.

At-Home COVID-19 Testing Before Returning to School from BreakParticipation in this program is optional. FUSD will provide an antigen rapid test kit with two tests, which should be taken one and three days before returning to school/work (if you pick up a kit on Saturday, you should test that day, and again prior to to coming to school on Monday, January 10) to best prevent the spread of COVID-19 on our campus.

Staff and parents/guardians of FUSD students opting in to this program are asked by CDPH to report the results of their tests through an online portal or by phone, see the linked instructions for use and result reporting, and information on our symptom and positive test protocols

FUSD will not require proof of a negative test for returning students or staff. However, students or staff with a positive test result, any COVID-19 symptoms, and/or a known exposure to someone with COVID-19 must follow our student flowchart or staff flowchart before returning to campus.

If you traveled over the winter break, please review these recommendations from the California Department of Public Health.

FUSD schools and offices will reopen on Monday, January 10, 2022. As a reminder, all students and staff must continue to complete the student COVID-19 self screening or self-check for staff every day before entering campus.

Thank you for your continued focus on health as we share the responsibility of keeping students and staff safe.
