Over the past 27 years, more than 150 teacher grants have been awarded by FEF to fund innovative, quality classroom programs, benefitting over 18,000 students across FUSD schools.

Funding for the grants is made possible by donors at FEF’s annual Excellence in Education Gala and this year’s grant sponsors: Fremont Bank, Meta, Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert, Kaiser Permanente, Washington Hospital Healthcare System, Nuvera Homes, Fagen Friedman & Fulfrost LLP, and the Fremont Unified District Teachers Association (FUDTA).

FEF was founded in 1991 as a nonprofit to encourage increased community involvement and support in FUSD schools. It partners with FUSD to enhance educational opportunities for students, and works with FUSD to direct funds to meet students' changing needs.
