Service Learning Hours

Completing 40 hours of service learning is a graduation requirement for FUSD students. Due to distance learning during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years, FUSD reduced the required service learning hours by 10 hours for each of these years. The required service learning hours for graduation are now as follows:
- Class of 2022 - 20 Hours (see note below)
- Class of 2023 - 20 Hours
- Class of 2024 - 30 Hours
- Class of 2025 - 40 Hours
Class of 2022 - Service hours are not mandatory for this graduating class per California Assembly Bill 104 and by Board action. Students who meet this requirement of 20 hours will have it noted on their transcript. Students who do not reach 20 service learning hours but meet the other graduation requirements will be eligible for graduation.
