Posted 5/18/21

The Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) was proud to count one of its own among the Alameda County Office of Education’s (ACOE) Classified Employees of the Year for 2021.

The ACOE announced on May 18th that District Web Designer, Barth Paine, was one of nine award-winners representing school districts from throughout Alameda County.

“Barth Paine is invaluable to Fremont Unified School District, where his expertise is apparent in every department and at every school site,” the ACOE described Paine in a press release. “He is quick to respond to requests and develops content often beyond expectations to provide families and the community with needed information and resources. Barth always takes time to meet every task with the same high level of effort and reliability, ensuring that each task is done professionally, accurately, and in a timely manner. Barth has proven to be a valuable resource to each school site, conducting training sessions with office staff to familiarize them with systems and protocols while also demonstrating features and resources to help them better communicate with their students and families. All the while, he creates a positive environment for all who work with him.”

In March, Alameda County school districts nominated exemplary employees in nine categories designated by the California Department of Education (CDE): Paraprofessional, Clerical and Administrative Services, Transportation Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Custodial and Maintenance Services, Security Services, Health and Student Services, Technical Services, and Skilled Trades. Paine was selected in the Technical Services category. A panel of judges from ACOE selected an honoree in each category to be considered for recognition by the CDE as one of the State Classified Employees of the Year.
