Mission San Jose Juniors Win at Conrad Innovation Challenge

A team of Mission San Jose High School juniors - LRK Labs was a winner at the 2018-19 Conrad Innovation Challenge. The team was invited to present their project at the Conrad Innovation Summit at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on April 23-26 during spring break and received top honors including being named Pete Conrad Scholars! The team's business product - utilizing tobacco peptides to create skin care products - has received close to $15,000 of awards, seed funding grants, investment opportunities, patent support, business services and scholarships to support the growth of their concepts into real businesses that can make real difference. The team had direct exposure to industry experts, corporate companies, actual investors, even universities! LRK Labs will also be on an all-expense paid trip to the Borlaug Dialogue - World Food Prize 2019 in Iowa this summer.
