Tyler Sousa

Which FUSD schools did you attend and when?
I attended Glenmoor Elementary, Centerville Jr High, and Washington High School; Class of 2014.

Did you go on to college?
I attended college for a short while because Philosophy had a special place in my heart. I then dropped out to pursue something different than the usual career path.

What are you doing now?
I currently am a Co-founder and Partner at Wolves Real Estate LLC, a company a few other FUSD alumni started with me two years ago.

How did your time with FUSD help prepare you for your career?
I met many individuals who helped shape me into the person I am today. I would say the relationships I have made with other FUSD students was the #1 thing that helped me in my career today.

Who are some of the teachers/staff who had the greatest influence on you?
Mrs. Burns, who taught Business Math at the time at Washington High School, was a huge influence into my going into the business world. She was very supportive of me through some tough times as well. Mrs. Harmon, who was my English teacher at Washington High School, showed me that compassion can go a long way and when I thought there wasn’t hope, I was given some which helped drive me to where I am today.

What advice do you have for current students about how to best take advantage of their FUSD experience?
My advice would be to enjoy the process because it is a long one, and to build meaningful relationships with the people along the way. As much as you might think you know what you have in store for your future, you honestly never know where those relationships might take you! Many of the relationships that developed from my time at FUSD have helped me in every aspect of my life from business, friendship, love, family, and so many more.
